When to Photograph Your Pregnancy

It’s important to know this isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer. Every pregnancy is different! One woman at 30 weeks might look just like another woman at 20 weeks. That said, here’s our best answer based on years of experience!

Most women can be photographed around 27-30 weeks gestation. The goal is for your belly to be perfectly popped (no one is confused about whether you’re pregnant), your belly is obviously pregnant in fitted shirts. Yet, you are early enough in your pregnancy to be experiencing those unwelcome side effects of later term pregnancy.

Here are just a few other factors you might need to consider:

  1. Women carrying multiples will want to book earlier, closer to 24-27 weeks.

  2. The farther along you are in your pregnancy the higher your chances of feeling tired, bloated, general discomfort or even going into labor. So if you have any pre-existing conditions that could contribute to your health, schedule your session on the earlier side.
